Yay! It's been awhile since I've posted my weekly book on time, but here it is. This week's book was a quick and easy read, a fun little jaunt along the French Riviera with Lady Georgiana Rannoch in Naughty in Nice.
Georgie is working as a volunteer in a soup kitchen when this book opens. Her brother and sister-in-law are off to Nice leaving Georgie alone in cold, dreary London until she is summoned by the Queen. Off to Nice she goes to recover the Queen's purloined snuff box.
Along the way she stumbles over dead bodies, models for Coco Chanel, has romantic and not so romantic adventures all over the coast. When staying with Binky and Fig (brother and sister-in-law) becomes unbearable, she chances upon an invitation to stay with Chanel and as it turns out, Georgie's mom, who owns the villa. Of course, the brooding, mysterious, Irish Darcy O'Hara is in town as well but he plays a very small role in this story.
Definitely a cute series and I look forward to the next installment by Ms. Rhys Bowen.
