Where I've Been

Happy October!  I do want to apologize for being so absent lately; it seems that if it weren't for book postings there would be none at all.  Well, I've been a busy little bee.  With football season here, work has picked up. And in addition, I'm in the process of becoming a first time home owner!

Yup, you read that right. Wow. Scary and exciting all at the same time.  Who knew there was so much involved!  I'm kinda freaking out right now as it's still a day by day situation on when closing will happen and such. Unfortunately, at this point, it's all out of my hands. I'm waiting for the bank to send out an appraiser so that they can get an idea of the fair market value and decide if they're willing to give me a loan for the amount I requested. Mortgage. Double Yikes!

It's a nice, tiny place, but about 200 square feet larger than my rental.  I will be able to buy a couch! Imagine that, room for a couch and a bed.  It's listed as a junior one / alcove studio so the bed is in a little alcove, not closed off but not exactly right at the door as in my rental.  So excited!

Anyhoo, I'd appreciate any prayers, happy thoughts or good karma that you want to send my way.  Oh, and decorating inspiration or ideas are wonderful too! :)
