52 Weeks, 52 Books: Week 47

Yup, I'm not even going to go there this week.  So let's just dive in, shall we? The Sharper Your Knife, The Less You Cry was all that I hoped it would be.
Food, Paris, romance!  What more can a girl ask for?  Recipes, that's what.  That old standby formula, chapter ended with a recipe lured me in once again.  Kathleen finds herself jobless as the economy tanks.  Her boyfriends talks her into taking her savings and going to Le Cordon Bleu in Paris where he meets her after quiting his job and moving from Seattle.  Yes, the two marry midway and yes it's very much a "i-found-myself-while-living-my-dream" book but I liked it much better than Eat, Pray, Love which seemed way too whiny for my tastes.  Ah, so it turns out that I do like chic-lit when it's in the form of non-fiction.  Who knew?

And PS:  The title refers to crying when cutting onions, not yourself as I had erroneously assumed.

PSS:  I've not really mentioned it but I'm fully moved in, closed, broke and am a home owner! Isn't it the bees knees?

PSSS: (ok, no more p's and s's, I swear) I promise to take some photos soon and do a little write up.  Especially since I'm planning to decorate.  Some before and after action.  Now THAT is definitely the bees knees!! Just be warned the "after" may take a while.  So...just some "before" action.  How's that sound?
